Celebrate Children’s Day at our Festival

Would you like to indulge your children with a really original program for Children’s Day and royally enjoy it? Then our festival is the right choice. In addition to the show of musical discoveries from all over the world, you can look forward to an attractive accompanying program that will start on Saturday morning with a concert for all the children (and many parents) of the beloved Trio Bombarďák.

On Saturday we have prepared a rich program dedicated to all children and parents celebrating Children’s Day. The celebration will begin at ten o’clock in the morning at Karlínské náměstí with the performance of the popular Bombarďak trio, which will not only please children with a concert full of wild songs and mad folk (Karlín stage, 10:00). There will be a performance by many children’s choirs from Prague 8. The music program for children is far from over though.

Theater, sport and dance

This year’s festival subtitle “British Edition” will also include an accompanying program. The Karlín Square will be painted in British colors and will become the “British Island”, whose center point is Karlín’s stage in front of the church. For example, the atmosphere of Great Britain is provided by the opportunity to try out North-Irish folk dances (Karlínské náměstí next to the info tent, workshop at 17:00) or a day-long rugby school under the leadership of Rugby Club Sparta Prague (Karlínské náměstí, at Kollárova Street).

Children can also look forward to the street puppet theater Na Kolečku and a fairy tale about Three little  goats (to be seen at the fountain in Kaizlovy sady from 13:15 to 14:00). Face painting with magical motifs will also take place near the fountain. For more skilled children there will also be creative workshops.

Children can also look forward to the mascots of Czech Television Bob and Bobek, Večerníček and Sheep, who will walk through the streets of Karlín and take pictures with them anywhere.
