Povodí Ohře ^(CZ)

Few people have had as many award nominations as Povodí Ohře had for their debut record last year. The incredibly spontaneous mix of country and dirty garage rock’n’roll, however, is not the only thing these guys play. As the name suggests, the inspiration for the band, who come from the West Bohemian part of Sudetenland, draws on local poetics and the experiences of “the guys from the Ohře River Basin” and the musical and long-term experiences of the individual members who were formerly in the bands such as Esazlesa, Esgmeq, Climatizado, Kapela štěstí and others. The credibility, the rawness and the delivery of it all go hand in hand.
