Zrní (CZ)

Their “Kladno Coal Zen” have had a relatively long journey but they have been very persistent on their way. Their original formation was almost like a folk band, whose album was released by the Czech folk singer Radůza. Through experiments and the influences of Radiohead, they have come to their current distinctive form, which they equally take from the electronic scene as well as melodic songwriting with acoustic instruments. They have recorded in Spain with a Slovak producer, collaborated with a dance theater, sold out the Forum Karlín and played tours in such unusual places as the St. Henry’s Tower or on the roof of Lucerna music hall. Even after many years, their music has so much euphoria and joy in it that many younger and beginner bands can only envy them. Because the basic idea is that a working group and strong friendships will never be replaced by any marketing plans.
